Mark Duhan
The Artist Born and raised in New Milford, CT, I have been involved in art for as long as I can remember. I fell in love with tattooing many years ago, eventually opening Skin Deep Ink Tattoo in 2008. After 18 incredible years running my own studio in Connecticut, my wife and I relocated to the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can now find me bringing custom designs to life at Slack Tide Tattoo Co. in Galax, VA.
The Work I am known for my realism, vibrant colors, and deep 3-dimensional black and greys—especially when it comes to human and animal portraits. I also specialize in highly textured embroidered patch effects and bold woodcut aesthetics. I thrive on designing one-of-a-kind tattoos and take on every new piece with a "this one will be my best yet" attitude. The Process I am not a "stamp it on and get them out" type of tattoo artist. I never let a client feel rushed, and I often devote an entire day or more to a single person to ensure we achieve their exact goal. My prices reflect the time, dedication, and quality poured into every piece. Because of this dedicated approach, I usually have a waiting list—thank you for your patience as we get your project on the books. |
Pricing and Availability
Booking & Scheduling I tattoo strictly by appointment only. Because I dedicate so much time and focus to each piece, I typically book out several months in advance. My normal hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Block Rates I charge by block rates rather than hourly, which ensures you get a highly accurate estimate before we begin.
